one membership

The membership is a way to support the strange mix of things I make: essays, interviews, Printernet, software experiments, physical artifacts, and whatever comes next. Rather than turning every new idea into its own business or subscription, I want to build one cohesive community around the whole body of work and my creative research.

The membership gives me more room to follow interesting questions, build software and hardware experiments, and share both the finished work and the process of making it with the people who make that possible.

It's also a way for people drawn to this corner of the web to find each other and support more independent, curious work like this.

what's available?

  • writing — A premium subscription to my Substack, exclusive print essays, early drafts of my unpublished fiction, and the notes and working drafts behind my projects
  • good_worklongform interviews with people doing good work
  • printernet — a Printernet membership (normally $7/mo) is included at Regular and up
  • products I make — member pricing on software and hardware projects I launch
  • events — small member gatherings, mostly online
  • experiments — semi-annual print zines, early prototypes, and more

the fine print

  • member pricing means a standing discount on the things I make and sell — printed artifacts, objects, whatever the workshop produces — not a coupon you have to go hunting for.
  • cancel whenever. Nothing is held hostage, and I won't make you click through four screens to leave.
